With sweeping views of Lincoln Park and the Marin Headlands, the Legion Café offers a relaxing setting to enjoy a leisurely lunch or a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee. We use as many local, organic, and sustainable ingredients as possible when creating our fresh, hearty, and timely menu. Offering a large selection of both hot entrées and grab-and-go items, every guest is guaranteed to find something to please their palate.

Geraldine “Jay” Fuster is Chef de Cuisine at the Legion of Honor Café. Her steady rise in the McCall’s family began in 2008 as the de Young Café’s Sous Chef, then continued in 2011 when she joined the Legion as Chef. She earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from the California Culinary Academy, sharpened her skills interning at San Francisco’s legendary restaurant Masa’s then joined another legend, Aqua, as Garde Manager Chef.
Jay is skilled at creating masterpieces on the fly, working with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. She particularly enjoys inventing themed dishes that match the Legion’s exhibits, surprising guests with innovative new dishes while keeping favorites like curries and stews in the artistic mix. Her primary joy, however, is being part of a creative team.
