The Wattis Room is a private dining room nestled inside the celebrated Davies Symphony Hall. This versatile space is ideal for elegant cocktail receptions, rehearsal dinners, birthday celebrations, working luncheons, and more. The Wattis Room can comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests for an intimate seated dinner and up to 200 guests for receptions.
Designed by the distinguished architect Andrew Skurman, the Wattis Room features deep crimson walls, a dignified built-in marble bar, and décor that incorporates the tasteful geometric shapes of art deco. The walls are graced with paintings on loan from SFMOMA’s permanent collection and the room is further endowed with excellent acoustics and its own grand piano.

Charlie Keinman was born and raised in New York City, where his great-grandfather (and namesake) owned a kosher restaurant; his family has been supportive of his career path from the beginning. Charlie’s education didn’t come from culinary school. Instead, he honed his skills in some of the country’s finest restaurants. Charlie restaurant career includes, Restaurant Daniel, Radius, and Troquet (to name a few). Charlie previous worked For McCalls as a Chef Consultant while opening our Legion of Honor Cafe and deYoung Cafe. He now is the Executive Chef at the Wattis Room, a luxurious event space and fine dining restaurant, at Davies Symphony Hall.
